Event Description

Lethbridge College will host its annual Career Conference Nov. 5, a day that brings together employers and students in one of the largest events of its kind in Western Canada.

Employers in a variety of fields, from police departments to surveying companies, will be in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering potential employees a chance to learn more about their businesses and do a little job hunting while they're at it.

Conversely, companies have an opportunity to get to interface with students and perhaps lure them to a career upon graduation.

Many businesses who exhibit at the conference are returnees who frequently hire Lethbridge College grads; many are Lethbridge College alumni who know graduates come equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their field.

It's also an opportunity for high school counsellors to learn more about what Lethbridge College has to offer their students.
